When starting a new relationship, many
women (and men as well) tend to overlook some behaviors in their new
partner that do not bode well for the future. Be honest about how
you feel about how the man is behaving. Here are some ‘Red
Flags’ to watch out for in a man who might be potentially
dangerous or violent:
-
He makes decisions about where to go without consulting you
-
He belittles your opinion when the two of you are alone and
may call you names.
-
He makes disparaging remarks about you in front of others
and may talk about you in the third person as if you were not
there.
-
He may be rough during lovemaking and make you engage in acts
you dislike.
-
He does not want to spend time with your friends or family
and insists you socialize with his crowd only.
-
He will ignore your accomplishments and put down what you do
for a living.
-
He may openly flirt with other women and then accuse you of
being jealous when you object.
-
He loses his temper easily and stays angry or holds grudges
for a long time. He may blame his tantrums on you.
-
He may hit walls when angry.
-
If he is sweeping you off your feet and wants an exclusive
relationship too quickly then he may have emotional problems.
Men who seem to connect too fast in a way that is too good to
be true often end up being the jealous or paranoid type.
If your long distance begins displaying the above qualities, realize
that the likelihood that he can change these behaviors is only 3%.
Dump him now because this will not get any better, it usually only
gets worse. |
